Vegan Betaine Hcl & Pepsin 90 vcaps

Vegan Betaine HCl & Pepsin is a combination of betaine hydrochloride (HCl) and the protein-digesting pepsin enzyme for stomach acid and digestion support.Vegan Betaine HCl & Pepsin is a high potency combination of betaine hydrochloride (HCl) and the protein-digesting pepsin enzyme.Use for low stomach acid, compromised digestion, especially of protein and fat, bloating & distension, dysbiosis/SIBO, post H. pylori treatment (once stomach lining healed).
The healthy stomach normally secretes adequate amounts of hydrochloric acid (HCl) and pepsin for the complete digestion of foods, in particular proteins. Many factors can disrupt acid production such as infections (even something as simple as a cold), surgery, aging, stress or trauma, fever, candidiasis, spicy foods, foods eaten too hot or too cold, and certain medication.
Low stomach acid has been associated with GORD, SIBO, dysbiosis and GI infections, IBS, autoimmune conditions, allergies, and nutrient deficiencies.
Encapsulation allows for a quicker release of the ingredients and reduces the likelihood of gastric wall irritation that can sometimes occur with tablets.
Pepsin hydrolyses all types of proteins, reducing them to polypeptides.
HCl provides the optimal environment (around pH 2) for pepsin activity.
Adequate levels of HCl are required for the absorption of minerals such as iron, calcium and zinc.
HCl, pepsin and enzymes in the stomach encourage the absorption of vitamin B12.
HCl provides an inhibitory environment for potential pathogenic bacteria ingested with food.
Stomach acid, and therefore digestive capacity, reduce with age.
Flexible – Provided in capsule form to provide a quicker release of the ingredients than tablet supplements, and making it easier to swallow.
Optimum support – HCl & Pepsin is deliberately medium potency to allow flexibility in adjusting intake to suit individual requirements.
