Clinical Benefits:
Healthy immune care: Astragalus has been traditionally used in Chinese medicine for the management of upper respiratory tract infections by enhancing immunity. Zinc and vitamin D also help to maintain and support healthy immune function. Zinc is essential for normal development and function of neutrophils and natural killer cells as well as affecting the development of acquired immunity and T-lymphocyte function. Vitamin D may enhance the first line of defence against invading microorganisms via up-regulation of innate immunity.
May reduce the severity of URTIs: Vitamin C and Reishi may help to reduce the severity of upper respiratory tract infections while Reishi has been traditionally used in Western herbal medicine to relieve excess mucus of the nose and throat. The saponins in liquorice root may also assist catarrhal conditions by decreasing the viscosity of mucous and exerting an expectorant effect, assisting the relief of bronchial congestion.
 
Directions:
Children aged 2 to 4 years: Mix ½ scoop (1.8 g) into 50 mL of water.
Children aged 5 to 12 years: Mix 1 scoop (3.6 g) into 100 mL of water.
To assist healthy immune function: Take once daily.
To reduce severity and duration of colds: Take twice daily.
